UCC to award 10 scholarships for new MA in Digital Arts and Humanities

University College Cork will award 10 scholarships to graduate students for its new MA in Digital Arts and Humanities, an interdisciplinary programme using new methods in teaching and research.

The new course begins in September 2012 and 10 candidates will have their fees fully paid with the scholarship fund amounting to €5,400.

Students of the masters programme will explore how digital is changing arts and humanities, from digital publishing and social network analysis to 3D laser scanning and cataloguing. They will also learn how to use digital tools and the technology skills necessary in this emerging field of research.

The closing date for applications is 1 September.
